The Sons of Masguard: The Movie

Sorry, no, the movie isn't currently in the works.* That's what makes this the most self-indulgent post on the internet.

A few friends and I were discussing casting choices for our titles, should we ever be so lucky as to land a movie deal. (Which is similar to daydreaming about what we'd do with those mega-million lottery winnings, but way more fun.) Delusional or not, I thought I'd list them online for all the world to see. ("See" is, in this case, pronounced "laugh at.") Because, as McKinley would say, "That's the accommodating sort of repugnant ruffian I am."

Captain Marshall
Voiced by the one and only Benedict Cumberbatch. Because, of course.

McKinley the Marauder
Voiced by the bounciest of the Time Lords (and my personal favorite), David Tennant. Gravel, snark, and gravitas. Can't be beat.

Commander Calum
Voiced by the king of geeks, Simon Pegg. Affable as affable gets.

Lieutenant Ryder
Voiced by everyone's favorite Peacekeeper, Claudia Black.

Amelia Ling
Voiced by the beautifully calm Rachel Luttrell.

Father Deagan Faiz
The one role in which Sean Bean wouldn't be brutally killed. Probably. Maybe. Spoilers.

Baron Von Ulric
Voiced by Christopher Heyerdahl. No one does quiet, terrifying intensity quite like this guy.

Lady Sira
Do you think Zoe Saldana can do an Eastern European accent? Of course she can. She can do anything.

Queen Prideaux
The ever-regal warrior, Virginia Hey. Don't make Zhaan angry. You wouldn't like Zhaan when she's angry.

I won't torture you with the full cast. But what do you think, dear reader? A fitting cast? Do you hear someone else's voices in each of these roles? Let me know in the comments below!

*At least, not yet. Optimism, right?
